Stuart Mair joined the company in 2015 after 25 years at a major high street lender. Our customers benefit from his extensive knowledge of the financial services industry as a qualified Financial Adviser and latterly leading a mortgage division of over 80 advisers across Scotland. He is passionate about ensuring unbridled customer experiences from end to end – and he has instilled this passion throughout CARA Mortgage Services. Originally from Kilmarnock, Stuart has recently returned to the area, where he enjoys golfing and spending time with his four children.

Ian Thomson is a founding member of CARA Mortgage Services and Senior Mortgage and Protection Adviser. With over 30 years of experience in the mortgage and protection industry, Ian has successfully developed relationships with estate agents, solicitors, and accountants who regularly refer their clients to him for trusted advice. He passionately believes in delivering outstanding customer service to his clients, who return over and over again for financial guidance. Ian is an expert in dealing with a wide variety of scenarios ranging from first time buyers, home movers, remortgage clients, buy-to-let investors along with complex arrangements like self-build mortgages. He is married with three grown-up children and enjoys golfing and socialising with friends.

She has also worked in many other areas of banking, insurance and accountancy. With her wealth of experience, Amanda joined CARA Mortgage Services in 2020 to head up our new Customer Care Department. In her downtime she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling as much as possible and watching her children’s football games at the weekends.

Jackie heads up our Client Services, Case Management and Customer Care teams at CARA Mortgage Services. With the wealth of knowledge Jackie and her team possess they are able to put minds at ease from the outset and make sure the client is speaking to the right broker from their first appointment. When she's not busy at work Jackie likes to go to gigs, listen to live music, walk, read and socialise with her family and friends.
